*** Big Hot Dog at the Super Bowl! ***
Yep - its true! The Big Hot Dog went to this year's Super Bowl; and a great game it was! The Giants barely beat the Patriots in what amounted to a game completely depended on the clock. In the end the Giants clinched it, yet the Patriots gave them a run for their money all the way to the literal last second of the game. Big Hot Dog was happy to be a part of such an exciting match up.

*** Big Hot Dog of Apple Computer Dead at 56 ***
Steve jobs, founder of Apple Computer died Oct 5th 2011 after a long battle with cancer. He will be missed.
We do lover Apple's products however without Steve we wonder who will lead Apple in its pursuit of creating brand name gadgetry that are simple redesigns of existing devices that have been out for years and pass it off as their own innovation at an inflated price....come to think of it, we at Big Hot Dog are in a similar business in the processed meat industry, instead of technology. So yea, keep an eye out for our new and improved I-kielbasa and I-braunschweiger - both are bigger, sexier versions of the originals.

Here are some Independence Day fun facts, history and trivia. On July the 4th, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was approved by the Continental Congress. Thereafter, the 13 colonies embarked on the road to freedom as a sovereign nation. This most American of holidays is traditionally celebrated with parades, fireworks and backyard barbecues across the country. As you send out your July 4th party invitations, take a minute to think about how much you really know about what we are celebrating.
4th of July History & Trivia -Did You Know…
The major objection to being ruled by Britain was taxation without representation. The colonists had no say in the decisions of English Parliament.
In May, 1776, after nearly a year of trying to resolve their differences with England, the colonies sent delegates to the Second Continental Congress. Finally, in June, admitting that their efforts were hopeless; a committee was formed to compose the formal Declaration of Independence. Headed by Thomas Jefferson, the committee also included John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Philip Livingston and Roger Sherman. On June 28, 1776, Thomas Jefferson presented the first draft of the declaration to Congress.
Betsy Ross, according to legend, sewed the first American flag in May or June 1776, as commissioned by the Congressional Committee.
Independence Day was first celebrated in Philadelphia on July 8, 1776.
